DALLAS, TX (August 7, 2012) – Imprimis Group, Inc. gives their Facebook “Spring Cleaning for Your and Your Career” contest winner, Jeanne Abbott of Garland, Texas, a new career wardrobe and makeover worth over $1000 as well as well as a one-on-one career counseling session with the Imprimis Group CEO, Valerie Freeman.

They have been working with clients and associates on a daily basis for more than 30 years to provide them the best solutions and opportunities available.  Recently, Imprimis held a Facebook Contest “Spring Cleaning for You and Your Career” in which each person entering had to answer the question “How would winning this contest help you to achieve your professional career goals?” in 25 words or less.  The winner was selected by a panel of judges based on creativity and passion.

Jeanne Abbott of Garland, Texas recently met with Valerie where she had a one-on-one career counseling session.  Later, the two spent the day at the Grand Spa in Dallas where she received a full make-over consisting of hair consultation, cut and color as well as a make-up consultation and application.  From there, they (Abbott and Freeman) went over to Macy’s in The Galleria Dallas for a new career wardrobe consisting of a suit, dress, and accessories.  The next steps in her makeover are revising her LinkedIn profile and resume as well as refreshing her interview skills. 

“My husband told me I looked 10 years younger,” said Jeanne Abbott. “I have learned so much throughout this experience professionally and personally and I am very grateful for everything the Imprimis Team has done for me.  I am excited for the opportunities ahead!”

Richardson ISD Partners Program Collecting School Supplies

The RISD Partners Program is in need of your help!  The RISD Partners Program is a way that a business or community group can establish an ongoing, supportive relationship with one or more RISD schools or programs through volunteerism and/or donations.

Currently 57% of RISD’s student population is economically disadvantaged.  With more than 37,000 students in 55 schools in the cities of Dallas, Richardson, and Garland, approximately 22,000 students qualify for the federal free and reduced lunch program and additional financial assistance.

In order to reduce the number of students who return to school in the fall without school supplies, the Partners Program will be collecting school supplies for delivery to the schools! Cash or check donations are also accepted. Please make checks payable to the RISD Partner’s Fund.

RISD deeply appreciates our community’s ongoing support, and this effort is another way to help make Richardson a better place by providing tomorrow’s citizens and leaders with the tools they need to achieve today.  For those students living in poverty, education is the avenue RISD provides to prepare them to be successful, contributing members of society.  Please help us help the students of RISD!
