Malcolmson named North Dallas Chamber President & CEO
The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce (NDCC) has appointed Ken S. Malcolmson as president & CEO.
In announcing the appointment, NDCC Chairman Scott Kirksey said, “The Chamber is at a very exciting transition point. Over the last year, the NDCC developed an extensive long-term strategic plan that will expand our growth and influence and add value to our members and the business community of Dallas. Additionally, we are constructing a new facility that will support the execution of that plan.”
“Ken is the right CEO for the chamber. He is a recognized leader in Dallas, with broad support from other civic, business and government leaders across the city. We are incredibly pleased that he has agreed to accept this position,” said Kirksey, president of BenefitMall.
Mr. Malcolmson assumes all leadership duties related to overseeing chamber programs, operations, new member generation and continuation of active board of directors communication. In addition, he will lead the staff of the NDCC and continue the chamber’s strong governmental affairs presence in the Dallas area.
“With deep respect for the legacy and leadership of the NDCC, I look forward to working with our board and members to ensure that the NDCC fulfills its mission to make Dallas a better place to live, work, raise a family and build a business,” said Mr. Malcolmson.
Most recently CEO of Afferent Provider Solutions, Mr. Malcolmson has more than 20 years of experience as a healthcare executive and key impact player in numerous non-profit organizations. He has served on the boards of directors of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, Momentous Institute, Friends of Katy Trail, Dallas Friday Group, Dallas Breakfast Group, Southern Methodist University (SMU) Board of Trustees and Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from SMU.
