FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DALLAS, October 21, 2013 – Early voting has started for the Nov. 5 election. Among the items before voters are nine amendments to the Texas Constitution. The North Dallas Chamber urges its members to support Proposition 6 which would put $2 billion from the state’s rainy day fund into a new water funding bank to help communities finance water development projects. There’s no better economic development tool than an adequate water supply, but there’s no question that our state has suffered immensely from drought in recent years. This funding bank is a great first step in ensuring water for future generations of Texans. Please remember that this will be the first election at which photo identification will be required.  Early voting ends on Nov. 1.

It’s a place to take action. It’s a place to meet people and make new clients (and maybe even some new friends).
