Guiding Principles for Advocacy
The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce is committed to fostering a thriving business environment and enhancing the quality of life within our community. To guide our advocacy efforts, we adhere to the following principles:
Business-Friendliness
We evaluate actions based on their ability to further economic gain for businesses of all sizes. This includes driving greater revenue, creating more effective governance, and enhancing the reputation of the business community and the city.
Adherence to Business Principles
Actions must be fiscally responsible, create efficiencies, or propose a better methodology for achieving worthwhile goals. We advocate for initiatives that adhere to sound business principles.
Positive Community Impact
We support broadly beneficial actions for people living or raising a family in Dallas. Such actions directly contribute to businesses’ recruiting and maintaining their workforce.
Fostering Civic and Community Engagement
Actions should encourage civic and community engagement in positive and meaningful ways, whether individually or collectively, fostering an engaged community.
If an action does not meet at least one of these criteria or is actively opposed to them, the NDCC will not support it. We aim to champion initiatives aligning with these guiding principles, ensuring the prosperity and well-being of the business sector and broader community.
