On March 19, Children’s was pleased to host U.S. Rep. and Chairman of the House Committee on Rules Pete Sessions.

“Our team often invites elected officials to visit Children’s so we can demonstrate all we do for children in our community,” said Fred Guerra, Policy Analyst, Government Relations. “It is important we reach out to our elected officials to acquaint them with the positive impact our great hospital has on North Texas.”

During Rep. Sessions’ visit, Michele Chulick, EVP and Chief Administrative Officer, guided him on his tour through both the Emergency Department and Pulmonology Center. Additionally, in his weeklynewsletter, Rep. Sessions’ highlighted his visit at Children’s and mentioned that he enjoyed learning more about our new Trevor Rees-Jones Center for Foster Care Excellence, which focuses on improving the well-being of foster children and their families.

At the conclusion of his visit, Chairman Sessions stated, “Children’s Medical Center has served the Dallas area for 100 years, and it is exciting to see the regional partnerships they are building to improve the pediatric health system through improved care delivery and increased patient access.”
