To our community,

We’re listening, we’re learning, and we can do more.

We can’t be complacent with a system that is oppressive. As an organization and community, we cannot tolerate racism or the injustice and inequality that accompanies it.
As Martin Luther King, Jr., said, “The time is always right to do what is right.”

The North Dallas Chamber must use its role as community connectors to be part of the change, and that can only result from ACTION.

We don’t have all the answers, and we don’t have all the solutions, but we want to be a conduit for change by enhancing our work in building connections in our civic and business communities to address systemic racism and strengthening our efforts to address inequalities in business and society through our policy and programmatic work. Some of this is already in progress with our focus on civic engagement and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programming, but we hear you and can do more. As part of our actionable commitment, we will be tasking our Public Policy Council to work with civic leaders to define actionable changes that can be addressed with local and state legislation. We are committed to continuing to keep you informed about our on-going work through our 365 Advocacy Update.

Let us come together as a city and a nation, listen to one another, and make the kinds of changes that are impactful and for the collective good.
