Blues & Boots: Bringing Health and Heart to Texas Communities
In a state as vast as Texas, access to healthcare can’t always wait. For many uninsured and underinsured families, barriers like transportation, cost, or limited clinic hours can make something as simple as a childhood vaccine feel out of reach. But thanks to The Caring Foundation of Texas, care doesn’t wait—it comes directly to them.
For more than 30 years, The Caring Foundation of Texas has been helping communities thrive by making preventive healthcare more accessible and equitable. Through its Care Van® Program, the Foundation delivers free immunizations and basic health services to families across the state. Whether parked outside a school, church, or community center, these mobile clinics are changing lives—one stop at a time.
This mission takes heart, hustle, and a whole lot of help. That’s where Blues & Boots comes in.
A Night That Makes a Difference
Blues & Boots is not just a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of community, compassion, and care. Hosted at the House of Blues in Dallas, the event brings together friends, partners, and supporters for a lively evening filled with live music, a Texas-style barbecue buffet, and powerful stories of impact.
But the true soul of the evening is what it makes possible. Each dollar raised at Blues & Boots helps fuel the Care Van Program, ensuring that children across Texas have access to life-saving vaccines and preventive care. In a single night, guests don’t just enjoy a fun event—they help create lasting change for families in need.
Imagine a mother who works two jobs and doesn’t have health insurance. She can’t afford to miss work, but her child needs school-required vaccines. Through the Care Van, that child gets vaccinated at school—no time off work, no doctor’s office bill, no worry. That’s the impact supporters make at Blues & Boots.
Care Vans on a Mission
The Care Van Program is one of the most trusted and recognized health outreach efforts in Texas. Since its founding in 1991, the program has delivered over 1.4 million immunizations to children statewide. But it’s about more than numbers—it’s about meeting families where they are, both literally and emotionally.
These blue vans travel into urban neighborhoods, rural towns, and school districts where healthcare access is limited. Families are welcomed without judgment. Services are provided with compassion. And no one ever receives a bill.
In recent years, the Foundation has expanded the program with CareVan@School, a growing initiative that brings vaccinations directly to students during the school day. It launched in Irving ISD and has since grown to include Plano and Lancaster ISDs, providing a simple, effective way to keep children healthy and classrooms thriving. As healthcare challenges evolve, The Caring Foundation evolves too—always focused on the same goal: removing barriers to care and building healthier futures.
Powered by People Like You
The work of The Caring Foundation of Texas is only possible because of the incredible individuals, businesses, and community partners who believe in the mission. Events like Blues & Boots are a vital part of that ecosystem, creating a space where generosity meets purpose.
Sponsorships help cover the costs of vaccines, medical staff, supplies, and van operations. Donors help fund visits to schools, churches, and community fairs. And attendees bring energy and excitement to a cause that truly changes lives.
When you show up at Blues & Boots, you’re not just having a great time—you’re making a statement: that all Texas children deserve a healthy start, no matter their zip code or income.
Stories That Stick with You
Every Care Van visit tells a story. A 7-year-old who’s never had a doctor’s appointment receives their first set of vaccines. A high school student gets protected against meningitis before heading to college. A mom hugs a nurse in relief, knowing her child is finally safe.
These are the stories that drive The Caring Foundation’s work. And they’re made possible by people like you.
When supporters gather for Blues & Boots, they’re not just enjoying an evening—they’re becoming part of a larger journey, one that brings health and hope to communities across Texas.
Join Us for Blues & Boots
If you haven’t yet experienced Blues & Boots, this is your year. Come enjoy a night of music, laughter, and mission-driven fun at the House of Blues in Dallas. You’ll be surrounded by people who care deeply about building healthier communities—and you’ll leave knowing that you’ve made a meaningful impact.
Your support helps us keep the Care Vans on the road. It helps us say “yes” to more schools, more children, and more families in need. And it reminds all of us that when we come together, we can do something truly powerful.
So, lace up your boots, bring your best blues, and join us for a night that delivers more than great memories—it delivers hope.

Celebree School Awarded IFA’s First-Ever Emerging Franchisor Award
December 05, 2024 // Franchising.com // BALTIMORE – Celebree School, a leader in early childhood education that provides infant and toddler care, preschool, before and aftercare, and summer camp programs, proudly accepts the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) first-ever Emerging Franchisor Award. The award is a testament to the brand’s responsible franchise growth and bright future ahead as it continues to expand its nationwide footprint with qualified, passionate entrepreneurs.
Founder & CEO of Celebree School Richard Huffman, his wife Dawn, and over eight executive team members were honored to receive the award at the IFA’s annual Emerging Franchisor Conference in Austin where they were recognized as the leading emerging franchisor operating an outstanding brand with less than ten years in franchising. From humble beginnings in Ellicott City, Maryland dating back to 1994, Celebree School is honored to bring the first ever Emerging Franchisor of the Year Award to its home state.
Today, Celebree School boasts 55 schools open and 73 franchisees who have been awarded over 160 sites. With a presence in 19 states, Celebree School proudly enrolls more than 7,200 children on a weekly basis.
“IFA established the Emerging Franchisor Award to recognize emerging brands with sound fundamentals for long-term growth, a commitment to responsible franchising practices and a positive impact in the communities where their franchisees operate,” said Matt Haller, IFA president and CEO. “Celebree School has consistently stood out for the work it has done to not only help the families it serves but is a leader in franchising responsibly. As more Americans look to franchising as a pathway for small business ownership and generational wealth creation, it’s important for IFA to recognize brands that are supporting the growth of the franchise business model, and doing it the right way.”
Celebree School began franchising its already proven model in 2019, offering entrepreneurs the opportunity to spread the brand’s mission to Grow People Big and Small™. As a brand that has grown from a single preschool to a flourishing franchise network, Celebree School has significantly impacted early childhood education through responsible growth, strategic expansion, and community engagement.
To be considered for the award, a brand must have:
- Been in franchising for less than 10 years (from first FDD)
- Have filed 3 years of FDDs
- Have more than $25M minimum in systemwide sales
- Have less than a 10% closure rate
- Have included an Item 19 in your most recent FDD
Celebree’s responsible growth strategy prioritizes selecting franchisees who align with its core values of education, community involvement, and integrity. By focusing on quality over quantity, the brand has expanded while maintaining its high standards. This approach resulted in the opening of seven new schools last year and securing 23 new agreements—many of which were multi-unit deals—demonstrating Celebree’s ability to scale responsibly.
“This award is truly a testament to the hard work and dedication that our entire team, at all levels of the brand, put in,” said Huffman. “When we began franchising, we set out on a mission to deliver quality early childhood education to communities across the country. Every day since, we’ve seen the impact of our work in our franchisees, teachers, and families. As we celebrate this brand milestone, we continue to look forward to our future as we aim to empower more students, teachers, and entrepreneurs across the country for many years to come.”
As the brand continues to grow, it aims to partner with qualified and engaged individuals seeking single and multi-unit opportunities who are involved in their community, have a passion for childhood education, and are eager to explore the world of franchising.
