CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
In conjunction with other civic partners, the NDCC is leading a citywide effort to promote the passage of ballot PROPOSITION A. The ballot measure, if successful, will increase the hotel tax by 2% to fund transformational improvements at Fair Park and the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center.

FEDERAL UPDATE
NDCC hosted CONGRESSMAN COLIN ALLRED as he was presented with the Spirit of Enterprise award by the US CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. The Spirit of Enterprise award recognizes Congressman Allred for his work on behalf of the business community. Following the award presentation, Congressman Allred provided a federal update to the attendees. WORKFORCE
Met with NDCC member CROWN CASTLE to understand how the future workforce will be empowered by 5g and the importance of 5g communication infrastructure to stay competitive in the future. Workforce development programs and investing in the people who will build 5G are crucial for local economic development.
